The Life of Old Hollywood Everyman Henry Fonda

On February 23, 1940, he and Frances Ford Seymour welcomed their second child, Peter Fonda, in New York City. Like his older sister Jane, Peter spent his early years in a household connected to the film industry through his father’s growing career in Hollywood.

Peter would eventually follow the same path into acting. As a child, however, he mostly experienced the realities of having a father whose work required frequent travel and long periods away from home while films were being produced in Hollywood and other locations.
