#28: She Builds a Diverse Career in Theater and Film Across Multiple Genres
Instead of staying in television, she turned to theater, building a career through national tours, regional productions, and dinner theater. This shift allowed her to take on a much wider range of roles, moving beyond the limitations of her television image.

Her stage work included productions such as Night of the Iguana, where she played Ava Gardner’s role, and The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds, which she later called her favorite. She also appeared in They’re Playing Our Song, Bell, Book and Candle, The Owl and the Pussycat, and Chapter Two, while continuing film work in Return to Boggy Creek and The Town That Dreaded Sundown, and later a stage thriller titled Fatal Attraction.
