The Life of Comedienne and Actress Carol Burnett

Throughout the late 1960s and 1970s, The Carol Burnett Show regularly featured well-known guest stars. Performers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davis Jr., and Steve Martin appeared on the program, joining the cast in musical performances and comedy sketches.

These appearances helped attract a wide range of viewers and kept the show connected to other major entertainers of the era. The guest format also allowed visiting performers to participate in comedic situations that differed from their usual stage or television work.
