#13: Roseanne Almost Had a Completely Different Title
Before it was ever called Roseanne, the show went by a much blander working title: Life and Stuff. The name reflected the original concept — a grounded sitcom about everyday struggles, money problems, marriage, and family chaos.
Thankfully, the title didn’t stick. Life and Stuff lacked personality and didn’t capture Roseanne Barr’s sharp, unmistakable voice. Renaming the show Roseanne put the focus exactly where it belonged: on a loud, funny, uncompromising woman at the center of it all — and a sitcom that refused to blend in.
