#32: Angie Dickinson Passed on Krystle for Two Big Reasons
Before Linda Evans stepped into the role of Krystle, producers offered it to Angie Dickinson—but she turned it down. Dickinson didn’t think the show would last more than a single season, and she also felt Krystle seemed too weak compared to the powerhouse characters around her.
Of course, Dynasty went on to become a defining hit of the 1980s, and Krystle evolved into one of the show’s strongest emotional anchors. Dickinson later admitted she might have misjudged the role, but her pass opened the door for Evans to create TV magic.
