#4: Tina Louise, Gilligan’s Island (1964–1967)
Stepping onto Gilligan’s Island as movie star Ginger Grant, Tina Louise added a dose of Hollywood glamour to the stranded castaways. Ginger’s red hair, elegant wardrobe, and confident attitude made her the island’s resident bombshell. While the show leaned into comedy, Louise’s character represented classic old-Hollywood star power in sitcom form.

In the years after Gilligan’s Island, Louise worked in film, television dramas, and theater, determined not to be defined by just one role. She also became an author and literacy advocate. Even so, Ginger Grant remains one of television’s most recognizable glamorous sitcom characters from the 1960s.
