#3: Donna Douglas, The Beverly Hillbillies (1962–1971)
Over on The Beverly Hillbillies, Donna Douglas brought a sunny sweetness to Elly May Clampett, the animal-loving daughter who never quite realized how charming everyone found her. With her long blonde hair and innocent smile, Douglas became one of the show’s breakout favorites. Audiences loved Elly May’s kindness, country innocence, and quiet confidence.

After the sitcom ended, Douglas stepped away from Hollywood’s fast pace and focused on music, gospel performances, and speaking engagements. She occasionally appeared in reunion specials and interviews about the show. For generations of viewers, though, she remained Elly May, a character whose wholesome charm never really faded.
