Arriving later in the run of Hogan’s Heroes, Sigrid Valdis played Hilda, the cheerful secretary assisting Colonel Klink at the prisoner-of-war camp. The character often became part of the Allied prisoners’ elaborate schemes. Valdis brought warmth and playful humor to the role, making Hilda a memorable presence during the series’ later seasons.

After the sitcom, Valdis largely stepped away from acting and focused on family life. She married Hogan’s Heroes star Bob Crane during the show’s run, linking her permanently to the series behind the scenes as well. Her appearances remain a fondly remembered part of the show’s ensemble cast.
