#20: Biff Burger (1956-2021)
Biff Burger was founded in 1956, with “Biff” meaning “Best in fast food.” For a couple of decades, it was a big restaurant in the Southeast, with its flame-broiled burgers being a hit. But financial woes hit them in the ’70s, causing them to close most of their locations.
The last Biff Burger in St. Petersburg, Florida, closed in 2021. It was a popular venue for car and motorcycle shows, but sadly, this wasn’t enough to keep the lights on.
